Playing for Double Time
Bring two players and working microphones for Double Time. Once the facility splits you, the walkie-talkies carry what the other Explorer can see, and Double Time completes only when the pair actually does this: Obtained an upgraded Norček prototype.
The achievement beside Double Time is 'Morrow's Miracles. Treat it as a nearby task while you chase Double Time, not as a percent you are required to match.
Double Time is more common than rank 21. If you are stuck, read “Obtained an upgraded Norček prototype” exactly before you assume a later puzzle is required.
On a later session, say “Obtained an upgraded Norček prototype” when you expect Double Time to pop. 6.3 percent of players already have Double Time. That share is a familiarity clue, not a clock.
Brief your partner with the full line “Obtained an upgraded Norček prototype” for Double Time, punctuation included. A shorter paraphrase drops the condition that separates Double Time from the achievements beside it.
Double Time is not pinned to a single room. The tool it asks for is the Norček prototype. If an overlay shortens the icon, the Steam id DoubleTime still means Double Time.
At rank 20 and 6.3 percent, Double Time sits in the middle of a run. Use that share of players as a familiarity clue for Double Time, not as a timer and not as a required order.
Double Time is a different task from Christmas Riot. That other unlock is “You found a highly sought after toy - Don’t let your partner see it” at 36.1 percent. Stay on “Obtained an upgraded Norček prototype” when you are chasing Double Time.
The upgraded Norček prototype is not a second copy of the experimental pickup. Most pairs who find the first device never record the upgrade.
