We Were Here Tomorrow microphone

A We Were Here Tomorrow session is online co-op for two players, and it is co-op only. Both players need a working microphone. On PC that microphone must be PC-compatible. Separated Explorers communicate with walkie-talkies, so the headset is not optional colour. It is the channel the puzzles assume. Crossplay covers Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, which changes who can join and does not change the headcount. There is still no solo campaign.

Run the checklist before you load the ice. Tick two players, two microphones, a stable broadband link, and an agreement about who describes and who acts when the facility splits you. Controller support is partial, and DualSense is supported. Full controller support is not available. If you are on a gamepad, test it in the first room rather than during a timed elevator. The launch build is 20 October 2026. The April and June demos are over. They are not a second way to start the retail expedition.

Checklist before you split up

Two players means two accounts that can see each other, not two controllers on one machine unless that setup is the pair you actually own. The invite achievement is Referral Bonus, “Invite a friend to play We Were Here Tomorrow,” at 46.3 percent. It is a useful confirmation that the friend join registered. It is not proof that both microphones work. Speak a colour and a number and make the other person repeat them before anyone grapples.

The Hook Gun and Goop Gun are personal. Decide who holds which before the first separation, using the Tools page. Now I’m Hooked and Goop Lookin’ are the common partner interactions, at 36.3 and 39.2 percent. Danger! High Voltage and You’re Chatty for a Statue are the rare variants, at 2.2 and 2.4 percent. You can finish a long stretch of Norček without the rare variants. You cannot finish a description puzzle if one microphone is dead. Broadband is on both the minimum and recommended PC specs. A phone hotspot that dies in the Particle Accelerator wastes the call.

How to talk once the rooms diverge

Name the place with the achievement’s noun. Cargo Elevator, Exotic Matter Laboratory, Magnetic Stabilizer, targeting array, Gravitonics, impossible staircases, R&D Headquarters, Temporal Research Centre, Battery Bulb, Theta Splice, Rift Zero. If you shorten them, say the short form once and stick to it. “The magnet” is MAGNETS! only if you mean the stabilizer. “The rift” is ambiguous until you know whether you have secured it or closed it, and those are two plates at 0.1 percent each.

Full audio languages are English, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish - Latin America. If one player needs interface text in another language, that is supported for the wider list, but the spoken director lines follow the full-audio set. Agree on a call language even when the menus differ. The checklist stays in this browser tab and is not saved to an account. Tick the four gates before you press join. When every box is ticked, the status line changes. Leave a box empty and the status stays on the missing requirement.

PC floor, pad support, and the first ten minutes

Minimum PC is Windows 11 64-bit, Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB or equivalent, DirectX 12, 25 GB, and broadband, with a microphone. Recommended is Ryzen 5 5600X or equivalent, 16 GB, and an RTX 3060, still on Windows 11, DirectX 12, 25 GB, broadband, and a microphone. DX11 safe mode, VSync off, and MSAA removed belong to demo patch 0.9.1. They matter only if an older demo build is what you are remembering. The retail spec is the list above.

In the first ten minutes, expect The World of Tomorrow near 96.2 percent and Corporate Exercise near 93.2 percent if you pass the Wellness Check. Smooth Moves at 81.3 percent is a crouch slide you can attempt while the second player is still joining. If those three do not pop, stop and fix the session before you hunt Rift Zero. The late plates are real, and they are the wrong test of a broken microphone.

Session limits beside radio

Both players need a working microphone before the ice loads, and on PC that microphone has to be PC-compatible or the walkie-talkie description never arrives.

Crossplay lets a Steam player join a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S partner, and the facility still expects exactly two Explorers.

Referral Bonus, at 46.3 percent, confirms that the friend invite registered. It does not confirm that both headsets can repeat a colour and a number.

Decide who holds the Hook Gun and who holds the Goop Gun before the first split, because hooking a partner and gooping a partner are different calls.

Danger! High Voltage at 2.2 percent and You’re Chatty for a Statue at 2.4 percent are the rare tool results. A long stretch of Norček can pass without either one.

Say Cargo Elevator, Magnetic Stabilizer, and Rift Zero in full the first time you see them, then keep that wording for the rest of the call.

Full audio covers English, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish - Latin America. Agree the call language even when the two menus do not match.

In the first ten minutes, The World of Tomorrow near 96.2 percent and Corporate Exercise near 93.2 percent are the fair test that the session is actually running.

If those common plates do not pop, fix the microphones before anyone hunts Rift Zero. The late plates are real, and they are the wrong test of a dead headset.
