What the base row actually starts

The base row is the expedition you play. App 2315050 puts two Explorers inside Norček Industries with the Hook Gun, the Goop Gun, the shared walkie-talkie, and all 37 Steam achievements. Platforms are Windows on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Crossplay lets those storefronts share one pair. It does not add a third chair, and it does not open a solo campaign if a partner drops. Both people still need a working microphone, and on PC that microphone has to be PC-compatible.

A finished adventure is about 15 hours, which the studio called its biggest We Were Here game. Stories in the series connect, but Tomorrow stands alone, so the 2017 original, Too, Together, Forever, and Expeditions: The FriendShip are not required before this app. The PC floor is Windows 11, a Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 Ti, DirectX 12, and 25 GB, with broadband. The recommended tier moves to a Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB, and an RTX 3060. The same 25 GB and the same microphone requirement stay on that tier. Controller support is partial. DualSense is supported. Full gamepad play is not.

The game is rated DEJUS 14 and Steam Germany 12. Those ratings are not edition tiers and they do not add buttons. Awards have not been announced. Full audio covers English, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish - Latin America. The other listed languages are interface support. None of that audio split changes which row you buy.

Book, wallpapers, and the album

Read the Includes column before you add a second app. The Fan Edition, app 5202830, is a digital art book, the official soundtrack, and wallpapers, and it requires the base game. The soundtrack app, 5202800, is 15 synthwave tracks by Tom Wolkers. Those same 15 tracks are already inside the Fan Edition, and that app also requires the base game. The book and the wallpapers are the pieces you cannot get from the album alone.

The easy mistake is buying the music twice. If you want the book, take the Fan Edition and leave the standalone album off the cart. If you only want the 15 tracks, take the soundtrack app and skip the Fan Edition. Taking both add-ons buys Tom Wolkers’s tracks a second time. Neither add-on replaces the base expedition, and neither adds a solo mode or a second pair of players. After the book is in the library, the night is still two Explorers with microphones.

The launch discount sits only on the base row. It lasts the first two weeks after 20 October 2026, and it does not cover the Fan Edition or the soundtrack. After that window, check the live base price and use the Includes column to see what each app still contains. The highlight control above the table only marks the row you are reading. It does not change a cart.

There is no deluxe box with a physical radio in these three apps. If a storefront bundles the base game and the Fan Edition, read the contents against this list: base expedition, art book, soundtrack, wallpapers. If the bundle omits the book, it is not the Fan Edition in app 5202830. Regional storefronts move. The figures in the table are the US list for the add-ons and the launch list for the base game, including the euro and pound figures set on 20 September.

The demo is not a fourth edition

The public demo is historical, and it is not a retail SKU of the 20 October release. It opened on 9 April 2026 for one week with three co-op puzzles in the opening of the facility, as app 4421200. Patch 0.9.1 arrived the next day with a DX11 safe mode, VSync off by default, MSAA removed after AMD crashes, and fixes for boot and shader stutters. Water could turn black if settings were toggled over and over. Those notes explain a crash someone remembers from the demo week. They are not a contents list for any row in the table.

On 17 April 2026 the first demo period ended. More than 45,000 Explorers had played, and one of them aimed the hook gun at themselves. The demo came back for Steam Next Fest from 15 June through 22 June. On 23 July the removal was set for 3 August 2026. That build does not include the Fan Edition book, the wallpapers, or the retail achievement board. The April demo’s three puzzles are not the 15-hour adventure, and they are not a row in this table. Start a retail session from the base app, then add the book or the album if you want them.
