We Were Here Tomorrow is a two-player online co-op from Total Mayhem Games, out on 20 October 2026 for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You and one partner wake under Antarctic ice inside Norček Industries. Director Kathleen Bowe asks the Explorers to continue a missing research team’s work while Rift Zero stays unexplained. The game is co-op only: there is no solo campaign, crossplay covers Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and each person needs a working microphone. On PC that microphone has to be PC-compatible.
Each Explorer has a different role and a different high-tech tool. Once the facility splits the pair, walkie-talkies carry the description of whatever the other person can see. A full adventure is about 15 hours, and it is the largest We Were Here game the studio has made. Stories in the series connect, but Tomorrow stands alone, so you do not need the 2017 original or any later entry before you drop in. The US list price is $19.99, shown at $17.99 with a 10 percent discount for the first two weeks, alongside €19.99 and £16.99.

Plan the night around two people who can talk. Online co-op for two players is the whole mode, and both players need a working microphone. If one headset fails, the other Explorer cannot receive the room description that the puzzles are built on. Controller support is partial, and DualSense is supported, so check the pad before you promise a couch session. Full controller support is not available. The PC floor is Windows 11, a Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 Ti, DirectX 12, and 25 GB of space, with broadband. Recommended jumps to a Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB, and an RTX 3060. The same 25 GB and the same microphone requirement stay on the recommended tier.
Crossplay means a Steam player can pair with PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. That does not add a third chair. The facility still expects exactly two Explorers, and the achievement Referral Bonus is the one that tracks inviting a friend into We Were Here Tomorrow. Smooth Moves, a crouch slide at 81.3 percent, is the sort of early motion you can test in the first minutes while you confirm both microphones are live. Confirm both headsets before you leave the first room. A dead microphone on the first split wastes the call.
The opening image of the expedition is Antarctic ice and a Norček Industries facility run by Director Kathleen Bowe after her research team disappears. In February 2026 the phenomenon was called Rift 0. Launch achievements later use Rift Zero, Beyond the Rift, and the Theta Splice. Dawn of Tomorrow is “Secured Rift Zero” at 0.1 percent. Tomorrow May Never Come is “Closed Rift Zero,” also 0.1 percent. Those two plates are the end of the rift thread, not the door you walk through in the first hour. The World of Tomorrow, “Awoke in a new world,” sits at 96.2 percent and is the common wake-up. Corporate Exercise, “Pass the Wellness Check,” follows at 93.2 percent.
Norček’s tools show up in the achievement lines before a manual ever would. ’Morrow’s Miracles is an experimental Norček prototype at 77.1 percent. Double Time is the upgraded prototype at 6.3 percent. Micromanagement, 79.2 percent, is a brand new access card. The rooms those lines name are the Exotic Matter Laboratory, the Cargo Elevator, the Particle Accelerator, Gravitonics, the impossible staircases, R&D Headquarters, the Temporal Research Centre, the TRC Construction Site, the Battery Bulb, Beyond the Rift, the Human Outpost, the Theta Splice, and Rift Zero. Walk the common names first. The laboratory and the elevator show up for most pairs long before Rift Zero.
The Hook Gun grapples to an energized surface, and Now I’m Hooked is the plate for hooking your partner, at 36.3 percent. Danger! High Voltage, 2.2 percent, is the energized-surface grapple itself. The Goop Gun covers a partner or locks them in place: Goop Lookin’ is 39.2 percent, and You’re Chatty for a Statue is 2.4 percent. Read Tools before you split up so each person knows which device they are holding. The walkie-talkie is not a third gun. It is the shared radio the separated Explorers already rely on.
Thirty-seven achievements are public, none hidden, each with an icon and a global percent. The common cluster is the wake-up, the wellness check, the crouch slide, and the access card. The rare cluster, several of them at 0.1 percent or 0.0 percent, includes the rift endings, the Theta Splice, the finished expedition project Essentia Emendare, and Class 1 Hoarder for every unique plushie. Fan Edition is a separate app at $6.99 with the digital art book, soundtrack, and wallpapers, and it requires the base game. The soundtrack alone is $3.99 for 15 tracks by Tom Wolkers. Full audio covers English, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish - Latin America. The other languages are interface support. The game is rated DEJUS 14 and Steam Germany 12. Awards have not been announced yet.
No. We Were Here Tomorrow is online co-op for two players and it is co-op only. Both players need a working microphone, and on PC that microphone must be PC-compatible. There is no single-player campaign to fall back on if a partner drops. Crossplay lets Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S join the same pair, but the session is still exactly two Explorers.
No. The series stories connect, and each game stands alone. Tomorrow does not require We Were Here (2017), Too, Together, Forever, or Expeditions: The FriendShip. You can still play those first if you want the older castles and ships, but the Norček expedition, the Hook Gun, the Goop Gun, and the 37 launch achievements are all in this release.
